In 2011, Osteria Riva opened its doors in the heart of Bondi Junction as Sydney’s first osteria — a place built on the simple Italian idea that good food, great wine and good company belong together.
Fifteen years later, that idea hasn’t changed. Today Osteria Riva is run by Federico Maccan, formerly General Manager of Rockpool Bar & Grill, and Chef Miki D’Angelo, whose kitchen journey took him from Guillaume and Catalina to head chef at Pilu at Freshwater before bringing his bold, rustic cooking from Marche to Bondi Junction.
A menu that remembers
To celebrate our 15 years, from mid-October we are bringing back to the menu some of the most loved dishes from our history — the classics our regulars still ask about. Alongside them, you’ll find everything that defines Osteria Riva today: seasonal antipasti, housemade pasta 手工意大利面 and dry-aged wagyu steaks 和牛牛排 from the grill.
